Christmas card with a bird

Hi every one thank you for stopping by, lovely to see you.
This week at Less Is More Chrissie and Jan want to see
 Christmas cards  with birds

I used four stamps to create this image but I'm not sure I got it quite right
so tell me what you think.... now be kind ;)
 Stamps
Bird and branch : Stampers Anonymous: Urban chic
Christmas Time : B Line Designs. Stamped in black directly onto the card then again in red on a separate  piece of card the sign cut out and layered onto the card.
Stocking and holly  from a little set I've had for ages probably from Hobby Craft. I used two stockings from the set but just the top of the one with the holly.
Ink
Versafine: Onyx Black
Adirondack: Cranberry
Whispers strokes: red and green.
Ive been dying to use this stamp  so I' was glad to ink it up today even if I did only use part of it... and like I say I'm not sure it worked!!

Have a great Sunday, see you tomorrow with the new Make My Monday challenge.
Suzi B xx

PS
I think the bird was maybe meant to be a Blue Tit... but he's now a lovely Robin with a very red breast. xx

Snowflakes and stars

These the cards I came up with late Tuesday evening for my Wednesday craft group to make... I'm always on the last minute!! I got some inspiration from Pinterest...
 because my muse was AWOL

Materials
Various distress inks ... swooshed and blended.
 Various snowflake and star stamps
Opaque white EP
 Versamark
 Die cut and punched snowflakes
 Cartridge paper.
White, dark navy ( it looks more royal blue on the photographs)  and Kraft card stock.
 Christmas themed brads.
Clear Glamour dust.
These are some of the girls projects... they enjoyed making these cards...
I apologise for the poor photograph by the time we'd finished it was about 13.30 and the light was so bad  it was more like early evening... nasty rain!!  I only got a few of the girls cards some people had already gone home.

It's my friend Maureen's birthday to day ,some of us are meeting up later for an Indian  meal and then on to a pup where a local group will be singing. taxi booked :)

Thank you for popping to see me enjoy your Friday.

The Big Guy!

Good morning one and all and welcome to the Make My Monday challenge which is... ta da!!
Santa .... The Big Guy
Here's my DT card... which is meant for some one who likes tradition at Christmas....
Materials
Backing paper: Websters Page: Snow flakes and Feathers...... I love these papers. I cut around some of the berries so that one corner of the main image slipped underneath.
Main stamp image: La Blanche. Stamped onto cartridge paper then  onto EcoArtBoard but this time focusing on Santa's face.
Poinsettia: Creative Expressions: Holly Set.
Distress Stickles
versafine: Onyx Black
Distress Inks: Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn used as water colours. Antique Linen on the artboard.
Prima Trim:  cut into strips and frayed. loose pieces used for the bow.
 Snow flake from stash.
This is an unusual size base card 16.5 square made  by me ... I'll have trouble finding an envelope... I know, I know, I could make one but I fail miserably at making envelopes!! Good job I wont be posting it :)
Isn't it a "Jolly" Santa image, hope you can pick out the Stickles. I'd  coloured the sides of the art board with festive berries then when I added the stickles it bled onto the top but I liked it... I'd already lightly coloured Santa's hat.
Pop across to MMM a to see the other inspiration provided by the DT and please do join in. We love seeing all the different takes on our themes.
have a great week

Anything but a card.... Christmas Style

Good morning an welcome one and all lovely to have you drop by. At Make My Monday this week Laura wants you to show us a
Christmas make ... but not a card.
I made some quick and easy boxes form templates and DP downloads from Pink Petticoat.

I cheated a bit with the triangle box I made it last year... I added a different tag that's all   but thought I'd use it today as well  ;)

Below is Missi , the "Christmas thief " about to run off with it!

I hope you'll join us with another fun project this week. Pop across to MMM to see what lovely goodies the DT have made..
Thank you for looking ... I love that you do :)

Fireworks at Less Is More!

I've not been able to join in many challenges etc in the last few months so I really enjoyed joining in with this weeks LIM challenge ( one of my favourite challenges)  now that i have a bit more time.
The challenge is Fireworks
Dark background with a splash of colour(s)
not sure my card fits the bill entirely IE a bit more than a splash of colour!!
see what you think

Products
JOFY 14
Hobby Art Starburst
Versamark
Black and orange card stock

would you believe?  6 different Distress Inks...
I've no idea where the sentiment stamp came from.... but glad I had it.

I thought the JOFY flowers looked a bit firework like then I added the starburst over the top hoping it looked like exploding fireworks! :).
Thank you for popping by have a great week end.
