Another quick card.

I made this using Tim Holtz  Christmas Time Collection... love em as if you haven't guessed :o)
The Image is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, Santa is coloured with a red Copic marker,  Rudolf is painted with DI Frayed Burlap, swooshed onto a craft sheet and spritzed with water. I used Stickles Icicle  on Santa's suit and Rock Candy Distress Stickles for his beard. Rudolph has a Christmas Red Stickles nose!
Hasn't Rudolf got the loveliest face and Santa is having so much fun as I hope you all do this Christmas
This will be my last post (I think) until the New Year.
I would like to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas
and a peaceful, healthy 2013.

This card is entered into adult section of the
Money Supermarket Christmas Card Competition
Good luck to all who entered

Quickest ever!

The quickest card I ever made ... I love it!
My  TH Christmas Time  stamps arrived yesterday, don't know why I waited so long before I bought em... too late for most of my cards now, so I just had to play. All the materials I used were lying around on my worktop... you know how tidy I am .... not!
The Merry Christmas that comes in the set would work better but hey ho... next time. I'd do it now but I'm about to leave for Manchester Christmas market with girl friends.
Ive entered this into Hels Sunday Stamper. which this week is Holly!
Enjoy your day

White on white Mid Week Motivation at MMM

Hi everyone it's my turn to do the  mid week motivation at Make My Monday I thought I'd share a card that's quick and easy to make because at this time of year time is precious.
So these cards have no stamping, no cutting out and no colourring etc.

Two variations an A5 card  and a 6"x6" square card. I used my Cuttlebug, small and large snowflake punches... quicker than using dies, (I think) Martha Stewart edge punch. oops forgot there is a bit of stamping.... the sentiment is from  IndigoBlu stamped in Versafine Smokey Grey, a few gems, a snowflake charm with some silver cord... Actually the cord gave me my biggest problem I couldn't get it to stay where I wanted it to be and as for the bow!! if any you have this mastered perhaps you could let me know how to do it...  :o)

The embossed card is raised slightly from the base card, the snowflake is fixed flatter than I would've like but I was baring in mind postage. The snowflake can be brought forward from the base card once its reached it's destination..Mind you not sure though that it's a good idea to send cards with instructions! tee hee

Hope you like these two quick cards.
Thank you for looking, take care

MMM Pot Pourri part two

Blimey it's Monday again...( how time flies!) so that means it's time for this weeks MMM Pot Pourri challenge
 White on White
(Christmas card) with one other colour to embellish
this is a Christmas Rose, Christmas tree in the snow ;o)
Products used
White hammered card stock for base card and mount.
Light weight card for stamping
IndigoBlu Here comes Santa ... the gorgeous snowflake boarder... which actually can't easily be seen with the embossing enamel on the top. IB Noel sentiment
BCE Crafts.  Christmas Rose stamped in three sizes, cut out and layered, sprinkled with Shabby White Embossing Enamel
Versafine: smokey grey
 Pearl embellishments.
Spectrum noir  pen... dark and light grey...
Unfortunately  colours and shades are all looking rather blue!!
I had a terrible time getting a decent photograph... the light n the good old  UK is so bad at this time of year.
I think I may have cheated... a bit... cos I used gray as my accent but I forgot all about the gold in the embossing enamel....  I think Caz might forgive me... fingers crossed :o)
As usual there are some fabulous creations on the MMM challenge site so do pop across, be inspired and join in we'd love to see you.

Make My Mondays POT POURRI

A new month... a new theme at MMM Decembers theme has been chosen by Caz and she's given us a delightful Pot Pourri of challenges. So to start December off she would like to see
Your Favourite Flower
I've chosen to use Poinsettia, not actually my favourite flower but I'm waaay behind with my Christmas cards. I wanted to save one of my favourite flowers for next weeks challenge ?
Products Used
Creative Expressions: Holly. I stamped the Holly corner directly onto the card.
Adirondack: Meadow
Versamagic, black embossing powder, Promarkers; red and green for the Poinsettia which was stamped onto card, cut out and layered with Pinflair Glue.
Stickles Christmas Red
SU label punch
Black glitter

Variation on the theme
I've had such trouble getting decent photographs on these dark dismal days. I took this outside nestling in the ivy... the dark green card base hardly shows at all
No green leaves on this one just a smidgen of gold glitter added
Hope you enjoy this lovely challenge set for us by Caz pop across to MMM to see  the lovely DT projects
A big thank you to all that come to see me, you are most welcome.

Glitter Alert!

Good morning, well don't the days just fly by it's Monday again...  and time for the last  challenge for the
 Autumn Supplies
at  Make My Monday which is
 Buttons and Ribbons
Supplies
Sentiment: Creative expressions: Autumn leaves 3
Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder; Birds and wreath set
Spellbinders Nestabilities: petite Ovals large
Tim Holtz Distress inks; Frayed Burlap, Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany,Tea Die.
Versafine: Vintage Sepia
Stickles: Copper
Martha Stewart: Hydrangea punch
Deco Art: Glamour Dust
Ribbon, buttons and leaves from stash.

Cut out embossed leaves with the Spellbinders oval underneath.

The base card is a light cream but on the photographs it appears white..ish. I've no idea where I got the two leaves. I came across them when I was searching for some wooden buttons which I didn't use in the end.. they were too big.

Teeny, tiny buttons. I coloured some thin card with DI's before punching out the flowers.

       The second lovely leaf
Sorry this is a quick post without much description of how I made this card,  I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have but I'm sure you'll be able to tell from the photographs and besides you're all sooo clever  it wont be a problem for you :o)
Don't forget to pop across to MMM  to take a look at the DT inspiration. .. It seems the vellum  challenge last week was a vellum too far :o)   I do hope you manage to join in this week.
I'm off to get ready to go Christmas shopping in Liverpool with my gorgeous daughter. See you later.
 take care

Blue is the colour of love

It was my friends 2nd Wedding Anniversary yesterday... her husband is an avid Manchester City supporter, hence blue! When we were shopping for Maureen's wedding outfits we were told nothing RED!.. wonder why! tee hee.
Maureen prefers the LIM approach to cards etc so this  was a quick and simple card to complete... once I'd come up with the idea that is.
The hearts stamps are from Chocolate Baroque, Heartfelt collection. Stamped in dark blue and clear embossed. I meant to add Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel to the hearts but I forgot to do it before I stuck them on the card.... DOH!  I added Heat it Up Snowflake Tinsel  EP instead.
Later this evening I'm off to Maureen's with wine, dips and cake cos guess where Dave is.... you got it watching Man C.
Thank you for visiting I really appreciate your support and love your comments :o)

The photography is pretty rough, taken here in the MR when it was dark and the lights were on.. not good :)

Vellum

Good morning ,  hopefully you had a good week end and are ready to face a new week.
At Make My Monday  it's time to use Vellum in the
 Autumn Supplies challenge
I struggled this week. I'm putting it down to my Mojo being AWOL :o)

I used an Autumn download from GeckoGalz  (where you'll find lovely vintage images) printed onto printable vellum. The torn edges of the vellum give it a ragged, aged look
I mounted the vellum onto a slightly smaller strip of light card, mounted onto the base card with sticky fixes to slightly raise it up.
The embossed strip is from Provo Craft.

this is a close up so you can see the delightful script bird... it's my favourite of the images. I decided to show Autumnal colours  depicting pretty images this week. I hope you like it.
Don't forget that this month we have a sponsor with a £10 Joanna Sheen gift voucher that you could win. Pop across to the MMM challenge blog for more information and to see some fantastic DT inspiration.
I look forward to seeing your vellum pieces. I know that you'll come up with some amazing projects.

Mid Week Motivation for MMM

Good morning everyone I thought I'd share with you how I made the leaves on this weeks Make My Monday  DT piece. Scroll down for the original post.
 Supplies

I used TH tattered Leaves die to cut the leaves from an A4 DP from chocolate Baroque

I ran the sewing/marker wheel along the leaves. This makes the paper bend and crunch which all helps to the look of an a Autumn leaf. I find the 50p Ikea mouse mat ideal when using the marker wheel
I mark out the holes first with a fine liner, its not always necessary to do this but I think it gives a better look I then join up the dots. Don't worry if you miss a bit it all works out OK in the end.
Once this is done I shaded the leaves with TH DI's  until I had the desired effect, this also adds to the crinkled look as the points girl in etc....ha ha curl even!

 I also shade the reverse
I hope you find this technique helpful and you are able to use it tecnique on your projects. Suzi B

House

LIM would like to see our houses!
added later: Oh nooo I forgot it's one layer week ... Poo !! this wont count... sorry girls xx.. see end of this post , one layer version with faux stitches lol

Since my sewing machine is out I thought I'd give it another whirl... I'm not a sewer, see previous post! :o)
the sewing machine has been used the grand total of twice! I've had it a year lol.
The definition of house came from an old Thesaurus bought for 50p from a charity shop.
the Newsprint house from Paperbag Studios was stamped directly onto material, an old napkin, stitched, cut out and frayed. I then adhered it to thin card before attaching to the cream, hammered base card. (it's not looking very creamy on the photograph)  I did similar with the definition
The words Hope & Dream for Stamingallday were stamped directly onto the base card.
Then a bit of bling :o)
I attached the house and definition with sticky fixes to give some depth.

                                                              One layer version

Thank you for visiting my house I look forward to visiting yours... black coffee for me :)

In stitches!

Wow it's Monday already...  time for another of Suzanne's Autumn, supplies challenges at
This week Suzanne wants us to do some
Sewing!! ...  Real or  Faux..
As most of my crafty friends know I don't do sewing... but last Christmas I was bought a singer sewing machine ... cos Joe had heard me going on about how popular it was to use stitches on cards etc. I usually do faux stitches but now I have a machine.. well thought I'd better have a go at using it... well once I'd mastered loading the shuttle and getting the yarn to come up... if you know what I mean! lol.
Proof that I did use the sewing machine! lol
Faux stitching on the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves which were cut from a CB Guild DP then shaded with DI Rusty Hinge and Aged Mahogany. I adhered them with Pinfare Glue to the Kaisercraft DP which had  been shaded with the same DI's. I distressed the edges of the DP and slightly crinkled the leaves.
The brown background card has been stamped with leaves in Versamark (lovely set of clear stamps with lots of different leaves but I've no idea who made them :o( ) the card was also given the same shading treatment as before. The base card measures 18cm square.

By the time you're reading this... I'll be in Chester with three of by friend, shopping but mainly wining and dining!! cos  it will soon be Maureen's birthday ... she'll be away on her actual birthday so we're celebrating early!

Don't forget the monthly winner will recieve a £10 Joanna Sheen gift voucher from our sponsor

Thank you for looking I soo appreciate it.
take care

Kraft and String (Twine) for Make My Monday

Good Morning to you all. It's a new month which means a new topic,  this month it has been chosen by the lovely Suzanne a past DT member..... the monthly theme is
 Autumn and
use your Supplies
Suzanne would like to see this weeks projects to include:
Kraft and Twine
Products
Kraft Card base 15cmx15cm.
Paper Artsy ... Nature USNT3
La Blanche ... Script
Crafts Too Tree embossing folder.
Colour Box Q
Twine and beads
 Glossy Accents
Micro beads added to Glossy Accents ... I didn't think about adding the beads until the GA was almost dry so not all the leaves are covered but I quite like the effect a bit like  fading leaves.

The twine is reminiscent of the tree branches, the beads  reflect Autumnal colours :o)
Follow the Make My Monday Challenge rules and you could be in with a chance of winning a £10 Joanna Sheen voucher kindly donated by our sponsor for the month :o))

Enjoy your Monday!
