Royal Wedding Fest!!

I've been in Oxford for a couple of days .. came home yesterday.Then got busy preparing for today by making two chocolate biscuit cakes, putting the  champagne on ice, making sure  me  outfit   fitted!! putting a big flower on me hat!
Shortly I'll be in the taxi going to my friends house with a few others, dressed to kill to enjoy the wedding. Have a great time whatever you're up to. catch up with you all soon.

LIM week 12 Off centre

It took me all afternoon.... nuff said! :)

No offence taken  Mandi Deva... it was the ribbon that caused me no end of problems, colour?, position?, with? without! etc etc.

Here is the card with the bow on the opposite side. I agree it is better balanced on the right.
In actual fact the original card is now  in bits!

The bow was actually hiding a smudge :( 

I should,ve just made it again  :))
 The colours on the image are slightly different, why? cos I had the ink pad the wrong way!!
But I like the effect.

LIM Week 11 Acetate

This was hard!.... it bugged me... why oh why did I come up with this idea?..... after several attempts here it is....  Silver fairy dancing in the flowers.

 I wont go into why it became difficult,  suffice it to say keeping it LIM ... unable to hide things, glue! having to use ribbon in the end... :o)

This was supposed to be a quick card!
The card is embossed with a Cuttlebug the acetate is heat embossed and made into a wrap around the card. i.e. two layers

THEN... photography!!!!... what a  ******  *****!!  fill with which ever expletive you like LOL

eventually took photos outside after failing.... several times indoors.

Christening card for Felix

Emma , Felix's Aunty asked me to make a word book for Felix,  I printed the pages from Funky Hand Paper Craft Factory.This is the quickest way I know of to make a wordbook  and I only had today!... 

Although I did cut the card out at about 2am this morning! Me head was buzzing, with ideas for the Cubby Hole's,  April project...  my failed, seasons  wall plaqu,  my sisters birthday on Tuesday and this book! So when I couldn't sleep Up I got  and came  into TMR. Went to bed eventually at 3am..but I did write down my CH project ideas!!  I was also curious about the Less is More Challenge which goes live each Saturday at 0800. but that will have to take a back seat for now... but dying to have a go.

So add acetate to the above list of ideas buzzing around...

I'll never get the H/W done :))

The plain oval with the bible is  for the sender to write their greeting

LIM week 10 no. 2

 I like this pretty little card :) It measures 14x11cm. I like the effect of stamping onto textured card.

This is without the flower scroll... Mandi thought it detracted from the sentiment...thank you Mandi..
I see what you mean :) I left off the shading on the flower border as well.
This card stock is cream the one above is white.

LIM week 10

This week the challenge at LIM is ; one layer card with the focus on the sentiment..

 Not sure I like this .... some thing not right, but thought I'd share it any way :))

I did it very quickly this morning

just before  I left home to go North Wales for a day out with Joe in Llandudno...

We had a great day.,

( I went to Craft Llandudno for a short time( yes it was!)  got some bits and pieces ) had fish and chips on the Great Orme, Mr Softee ice cream on the sea front at Colwyn Bay... we were very naughty with our gastronomic delights.. ooh forgot to say on the way to Llandudno we stopped at Rhug Farm  for the best Eccles cake in the whole world!

So tomorrow I'll be moaning about how fat I am ... and starving me self!

Fiskars Texture plates

I have six double sided Fiskars texture plates that were earmarked for the charity box because it's  so difficult to get good results. then I read on someones blog, you know what it's like when blog hopping,  they had used the texture plates in the Bug, so today I had a go, here's the results: above is the embossed side below: debossed

Suffice to say They are no longer in the charity box.

She appears to lay the eggs in the morning about 10ish.

Taken by Joe this morning. There's usually mud in a black birds nest but maybe there's non cos its been so dry lately??  I watched her building the nest last week. she was very comical in her actions to secure  

stubborn bits and pieces. Never thought to take photos :(
