First of the MMM 2013 challenges

Good Morning! how are you? fine and dandy I hope.
It's time to recommence the MMM challenge  after a short Christmas break.
Things have changed a , just a little at MMM we are no longer having a monthly theme. From now on it will be a weekly challenge hosted by one of the DT. To start us off it just happens to have fallen to me and I would like you to use
DRY EMBOSSING
 in your project... simples!
Here's mine
Products
Embossing folders: Cuttlebug and Sizzix Birds and Wreaths
ColourCore card stock from the Vintage collection
Cream textured card stock
White card stock
Marianne Creatables LR0137
DI's: Antique Linen and frayed Burlap.
Tag Stamp: Stamping All Day
The card measures just over 7"x7"... that's how it worked out... :o)

I sanded the image and added a tiny bit of shimmer with a clear Sakura Jelly Roll pen... As usual there is variation in the colour reproduction in the photos.. it's in between the two! :o)

I made two of these little bird dies and cut the wings from one to give a bit of movement and dimension.
I hope you'll join in the fun  don't forget to pop across to MMM to see the DT's fabulous creations.
Thank you for looking

Hi, Love this card - I really like neutral colours and I love that the extra texture that embossing adds to a card. There is always so much you can do to an embossed image. Your designs are so inspirational - I have dropped in before but often too lazy/forget to leave a comment (sorry).

Good to see MMM back in action and dry embossing is a great favourite with me. Just love the effects you've achieved with this pretty card.

Hi Sue and Happy New Year to you! I'm finally getting back into normal mode (I hope, lol) after the holiday.

Love this card. The mono shading is right up my street and looks very elegant. Lovely dies and folders you have used too.

I like the theme you have chosen and if I weren't beavering away at a Snazzy's DT piece ready for next week I would have liked to take part in the challenge. You never know if my project goes ok I might find time.

Hugs
