LIM.. Oh No! .... sewing!!

I'm of the can't sew, won't sew brigade.. So my heart sank a little when I saw this mornings LIM challenge, mainly because my partner Joe bought me a sewing machine at Christmas!  He'd heard me saying perhaps I aught to get a sewing machine to use with my crafts?  so he got me one.. but I've never used it! apart from  struggling to thread it! and having bit of a practise. I usually do faux stitches!
So here is a card with  my first bit of stitching added, using the machine!! I meant it to be wonky...honest!

I stamped the images from the Crafty Secrets Material Girl set with black Stazon onto fabric that I'd cut to size and frayed.. lesson one: should have sewn before stamping and fraying. The images were adhered to cream card then onto Kraft card.

The same material underneath was stamped with Adirondack Watermelon using the SU Rollergraph, Very Vintage.
 Bits and pieces from stash..
I do have some metal scissors but they looked a bit big for this project

I rather like the material covered buttons... only had two! they must've come off some clothing or other :o)
Thank you for comimg  to see me I really appreciate your visit
Have a great "sunny" week end

So Artful Challenge:   Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla. Although the card and materisl used look white in the photos  they are both cream :o)

Ps - I forgot to say although I do lots of sewing I've never actually done any onto a card (only the faux kind).

Well I think you've done a grand job Suzi! The card is lovely and the 'wonky' stitching (I'll believe you ;D) looks great. My sewing machine which, although a good few years old, is a really good one but I've now passed it on to my DD as she can make more use of it than me. I did buy a cute little one for crafting about 2 years ago which only does straight stitch and guess what ................. It's never been switched on yet!

What a wonderful design! I would never have thought that vintage and CAS could go hand in hand, but you sure made it work!

It's difficult to fake wonky so this shows it is for real! Love what you have done, and practice makes you perfect - well at least happier with your efforts I've found. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Buttons x

It's not that I don't - I just won't - sew that is. This is great though and I might have a go myself - if I can find a needle! - Jacqueline xx
