Victorian Romance.

Victorian Romance   at    Make My Monday
Don't forget Marianne design is sponsoring Make My Monday this month with a fabulous prise.

I've taken my inspiration from the Victorians love of opulence and clutter :o)

I based the colour scheme on the  Bo Bunny DP and  the photograph which is from the Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion  Triple CD .

The roses, leaf and you can just see part of flower under the roses are made from the same double sided  paper  ( it's more like card I was a bit cack handed rolling the roses )  using Marianne Creatable Dies.
The roses have been dipped in Versamark and embossed with gold as have the leaf and flower. The edges of the main image and the DP have also been embossed in the same way.

I made a fan by concertina folding half a small doyley, coloured by dabbing  Adirondack (clover) ink with a soft brush. I then embossed the edges with gold EP.  my intention was to put the fan in the left corner of the card ( where it is ) but I didn't want to cover the lovely  graphics on the DP. I therefore cut with a craft knife around the "flower" and slipped the fan behind it... had to trim the fan down quite a bit. :o).The little white flower was a find at the Indoor Market in Crewe. I swiped  Versamark across it and embossed with gold EP.

The  wooden heart started life like this. I bought a box of ten from Tesco... new theyed come in handy.. like we do :o) Mind you we then go and forget what we've got... well I do

It ended up like this after lots of gold embossing which didn't really cover the red...  no idea why I didn't paint it gold first!  then I remembered  I had some of Debbie Moore's Metal Magic and that did the trick. Whilst the Metal Magic was still molten I stamped into it with a  heart stamp  from Chocolate Baroque

  Enjoy your day
take care

This is gorgeous Sue. Very opulent and lavishly embellished. Love the altered heart (yup, I have loads of stash like that which I completely forget about when I'm making stuff) and all the gold embossing. You've hit the atmosphere spot on.

Hugs
