Good morning everyone... hope your day started well and continues to be so as they say in USA "have a nice day" you'll have to imagine the accent. :o)
It's the last week of Steampumk
at Make My Monday http://mimchallegeblog.blogspot.com/
and this week Cath would like us to make ANY THING BUT A CARD
I bought this tin in Llandudno in North Wales
I think its a tobacco tin :o)
I thought I'd taken before photos, in fact I'm sure I did but can't find them on the poot! It was originally a silver tin with a picture of Elvis on the front!...with apologies to all Elvis fans... he was scrubbed off... :o)
This photo shows the underside of the tin and the inside of the tin lid.
Now I'm looking at the photographs I think I should've aged all the papers and stuff... why didn't I do that ?! hey ho.
I managed to add some distress using cotton buds and kitchen towel... now looks oily :))
Materials
All I will say is thank goodness for tissue tape, my box of SP goodies picked up from places like eBay and markets including a French one ooh nearly forgot the 50p box in B& Q.
A 1918 book of Land and Mine Surveying also came in very handy, there's not much difference is there? between a rocket scientist and a surveyor LOL. You need maths for both ! ;o)
Being a member of the fabulous Make My Monday Design Team as certainly got me out of my comfort zone. This is a first for me... I only usually alter things at workshops!
Looking forward to visiting your Blogs to see what you all make...

I'm racking my brains for something to make this week - I really like this little tin, such a great idea and imaginative.
Great Suzi like you say perhaps a bit of ageing. But still works great as it is. Hugs x ChrisB

This is really fantastic Sue and I so enjoyed reading your post too.
The tin looks great covered in the tape and I love all the little additions for your potential scientist.

Your tin is really amazing! I love everything about it. I was so amazed at how different your stamped image of the boy looks when adding the metal pieces to him! It truly is a work of art! Thanks for sharing it with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge. <3 Candy
Oh wow this is totally stunning Suzi. x
Gloriously detailed - I love it - Jacqueline xx
Hi
I am visiting from June's site.
Oh this is an incredibly imaginative idea and creative use of stamps.

Love this Sue! It's really clever with all the little bits and pieces you added to it. I keep wanting to go and raid Hubby's garage but never seem to find time. You were right to rub the inks in. It was good before but now it's perfect!
Hugs
Lesley Xx
