LIM wk 13 Luucky Dip and Just Add Ink

Thank you or congratulations. Just  add a flower
I think you can guess which I went for :)
it's not all that obvious but under the embossed script is a stamped script in a very pale turquoise.
I wanted to bring all the colours together
but hopefully still keep it LIM
I managed to avoid putting shading on the embossing...
good or what!

I've also entered this in to the Just Add Ink challenge which is to just add a flower.

Very pretty colour combination and the embossing is effective even without any ink rubbed over it (difficult to resist doing that though).

Super card Suzi
There is a technique to prevent the area being embossed. Then the sentiment woudl stand out better and not be distorted by the embossing.
continued thanks, love your card

Hi again
Here is how to do the emboss 'space' technique
You die cut a shape large enough to contain the specific image or sentiment or whatever from sheets of card and stack enough together to make the equivalent of a Cuttlebug B plate.
Then you substitute this stack for one of your B plates and run it though the bug. Where the die cut hole is doesn't receive any pressure and so that area remains flat

mandi
I wasn't sure about cuttlebug plates so went to check a previous instruction we gave at LIM

I'm glad you resisted chalking the embossing, I think it looks good as it is.
The flowers are lovely and I think that if you try Mandi's suggestion for leaving an area unembossed for your sentiment you'll be really pleased. You can probably see a video on you Tube if you do a search!
Thanks so much for joining us yet again!
