Crumbs Mondays get here so quickly...which means it's time for a new challenge at
Make My Monday.
Make My Monday.
This week Caz would like to see the colours
Green and Yellow
on your projects.
Here's mine:
I haven't made a DL card for some time, I seem to be stuck in the square zone! but after I'd been playing with a stencil by Imagination Crafts, distress inks and Glimmer Mist on what I though I'd use as backing paper the end result cried out for a DL card with the paper as the focus of the card
Because I sprayed the stencil with GM's the shape of the stencilled image was very "fluid" not well defined, but I like it. I outlined the images with an Inkssentials Opaque white pen then played with dots!
I only used part of the stencil one of my purchases from HSNW at Port Sunlight. I first saw this stencil on the lovely Lesley's blog ( Crafty Love n Hugs) and fell in love with it... you know how many times we crafters fall in love... could we be fickle? lolProducts
Cartridge paper: swooshed and splodged with
Distress ink: Shabby shutters: peeled paint and mustard seed. then sprayed and splashed with
Glimmer Mist : Lily pad, garden fairy and yellow daisy
Imagination Craft stencil: sprayed with Glimmer mist:garden fairy, highlighted with opaque white pen, dots added.
Hobby Craft:: With love sentiment.
Stamping all day: Happy birthday tag.
Adirondack ink: Clover; sentiments and leaves.
Adirondack ink: Clover; sentiments and leaves.
Clearly Besotted: leafy accents stamps and dies, also highlighted and given the spot treatment.
Bling (sorry lots of it) and green twine
The card is really shimmery but it doesn't show up all that well in the photograph... I tried every which way to get a decent photo of the shimmer.
Take a look at all the lovely inspiration over on MMM and do join in, we'd love to see you.
Thank you for taking the time to pop by...
always appreciated :o)

Oddly enough I realised only yesterday that I seem to be in 'square card mode' too - great minds think alike. I can see why you fell for this stencil and the end result is lovely and has worked well in the DL format. That lovely background deserves to be seen rather than covered with other elements.
Lovely card, now I need that stencil too!
Absolutely gorgeous, stunning background

Oh wow, Suzi! I love this. Just catching up after a bit of a mammoth week. I love this stencil work. I like the fact that it is less well defined using the sprays, as the gel pen gives that extra definition. Gorgeous! note to self - play with some stencils!
Such a beautiful card Suzi. Really love the inky background and the nature theme is fabulous.
Hugs, Fliss xx
Love the DL format Sue and you're right this stencil works perfectly this way. My love affair with this particular stencil is still running its course, lol! I love it and used it again this week on my Snazzy DT piece. The spraying through the stencil has worked a treat and so have the colours.
Hugs
Lesley Xx
