Week 82 at LIM = Recipe

Crissie and Mandi of LIM fame would like us to follow a :

RECIPE
3 - 2 - 1
This week we have a simple idea for you to use as the focus of your cards.
All that you need to do is to incorporate 3 of something, 2 of something and 1 of something else!

Here's mine
For my recipe I chose, 3 images, 2 words 1 piece of jute.
Stamps: Inkadinkado Inches: Flower Garden
Eco Green Crafts: Petal Party ... sentiment
Versafine Vintage Sepia
 Cream hammered card.
A bit of left over jute/ hessian .I'm not sure which one it is :o)

I mounted each inchie onto another piece of cream card to give some depth.

It's been a lovely day here... did I say lovely perhaps I should say it's not been bad!

Remember this? Work in progress

Well here it is up till now... not sure what or if it needs anything else. I'm sure you lovely people will have some suggestion :o)
It's taken me forever! and I must give special thanks to, Christine, Carol, Wendy and Christina who allgave me hints and tips when I saw them at the Cubby Hole... thank you girls you are stars! I still think it looks a bit "flat" not enough depth to the base canvas?

Some close ups

I added Glossy Accents to various hearts and the small plaque I added a pinch of Shabby Pink embossing
enamel before it dried
.

Work in Progress!!

I really admire Lynne Montcrieff  gorgeous art work..
it is always so beautiful and feminine . I thought I'd try and emulate her but she makes it look sooo easy I'm struggling. This is what Ive achieved so far... don't know how it will end up!
An 8x8 canvas. I covered it first with white acrylic paint. I then laid a piece of net curtain over and dabbed with acrylic paint allowing the pattern to  be revealed

 the swirly patterned net
The result... I have never done this before so it was all good fun just experimenting. I did the same again with a floral patterned net laid over the top and dabbed with a different colour... unfortunately that photo didn't turn out for some reason?!
Here are some floral embellishments I cut out from the net. I adhered the leaves to some fawn coloured card  making it easier to shape.

Not sure how the canvas is going to turn out. I'm struggling to add depth! I'm hoping to use some Lynne Perrella stamps with it.
 thank you for looking.
 take care

One more for LIM

The challenge at LIM is really helping me out... I will soon be visiting my friend Jeanie  in France.. she has asked me to take along generic type greeting cards that are also light in weight. I usually get quite a haul ready especially when Jeanie's visiting GB cos she usually comes in the car but I will be flying with hand luggage only! very difficult for me cos I'm a take the kitchen sink type person... minimal luggage  moi!! so the haul will be less in number on this occasion

I stamped the images ( Pink petticoat freebie from simply Cards and Papercraft magazine) yesterday but didn't have time to finish it... mind you I wasn't sure how to complete it cos I stamped without thinking about composition! do you do that? lol. Images coloured with chalk pencil and a little glamour dust added. the charm is from a defunct piece of jewellery.
Updated version.... added later that same day... :o)

Thank you for visiting, love that you do especially if you leave a comment which I greatly appreciate  .. :o)
Enjoy your Sunday... it's started raining here... just a light shower.

Quick cards for LIM

Its one layer week at LIM and Chrissie and Mandi would like our creations to feature
Fur or Feather
I made a few very quick cards.... in between coughing spasms... yes I still have the dreaded cough!!

Sorry don't know who made the cockerel stamp but I love him :o)
 Sentiment from Inkadinkado.

I love this kitten image too from Craftfairy, the sentiment is Anna Griffin and the little paw marks are by Dovecraft.

Fabulous Katzelkraft cat and the AG sentiment

Craft Stamper freebie coloured with Derwent Inktense water colour pencils. Sentiment from Papermania
Last but not least another one of my favourites which is a Paper Artsy Mini, sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
that's all folks!! thank goodness you might be saying but hang on there's another!!
Not for LIM but using backing paper I made a while ago

This is my cat Missi keeping cool in a wooden garden divider that usually has a stone slab on the top but I'd removed the stone from one end and Missi immediately took advantage of sleeping somewhere cool and
shady.

Enjoy your week end, thank you for coming to see me

Blue & Green at LIM...

Blue & Green
at LIM
There is an old saying
Blue & Green should not be seen, Unless there's a colour inbetween!
In this day and age no colour combo is taboo, in some cases the wilder the better.
Here's mine... and be warned it's not pretty!
Oh boy! this is a mess! where did all those dirty marks come from? It just hasn't turned out as well as I wanted... so me being me I decided to share my disaster with you...LOL
I am suffering with the most dreadful dry tickly cough,  it keeps me awake most of the night with prolonged coughing spasms, my throat feels like it's full of razor blades, I have had to cancel a dinner party I was really looking forward to...
Obviously I am just after your sympathy :o)
Thought I'd cheer my self up by entering one of my favourite challenges, LIM and made a mess of the whole thing! Should have stayed reading my book or watching the Olympics

I used Verasamark and separate blue and a green EP's
The hardest thing was stopping the EP from contaminating each other.
I'm not happy with it at all
thank you for stopping by.. I love that you do.
take care ... hope you don't succumb to this virus!!

For Maureen

My friend Maureen is going through an extremely stressful time at the moment. Her Mum has been in hospital for 15wks and and during that time has spent three separate episode in ITU. So this is a little something to cheer Maureen up even if only momentarily.
Maureen loves butterflies and she she like things kept simple and unfussy, hence no bling and the frame left alone. Its an Ikea deep picture frame which means I was able to lift up the wings. I took the photographs without the glass in place  to avoid reflection.
The DP is a 12x12 Bo Bunny paper. the butterfly stamps are from IndigoBlu and CB. The colour is more true in the first picture.

This was how it looked before I placed it into the frame... I wish I'd positioned the CB side on butterfly, a little more to the centre... hey ho!
by the way Maureen loves it!! ... I'm so glad
