MMM week 48 Floral Lily of the Valley/ white flower

Today marks the beginning of a new monthly challenge at Make My Monday,
the overriding theme for May is FLORAL
Lily of the Valley is the birth flower for May so we would like to see some white flowers in your project. If you have a Lily of the Valley stamp that would be fantastic to see. I chose these themes and  struggled to come up with a Lily of the valley! so don't despair as long as the flower is white that's fine. There are some wonderful examples over on the MMM challenge site so pop along and be inspired
Lily of The Valley or White Flowers
The flower stamp, not sure if it is Lily of the Valley ;o)  is by Local King Rubber called Chicks stamped onto torn vellum with Archival Brilliance in Pearlescent Lime. I coloured the flowers with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen and finished them off with Glamour Dust. I layered the image onto another piece of torn pearlized vellum. I anchored the vellum onto the green card at the back. The green card was embossed with a floral embossing folder with the Cuttlebug.

I also used the flower stamp to make a shrinky  and coloured it in the same way as the main image... no glitter though :o)
The sentiment was stamped with a darker green Brilliance to coordinate with the dark green embossed card.
The green card was then adhered to a white centre fold card once I'd added the ribbon
I hope you enjoy this months Floral themes as much as we all enjoyed Cazro's men and boys theme last month.. I can't wait to see what delights you come with.
take care, see you soon

I've had such trouble with Blogger this morning. It's driven me bongers!....  I now need a strong coffee.

Great theme this month but not sure I have a Lily of the Valley stamp - will have a search!! This is such a pretty card and I love the effect of the torn vellum and the shrinky piece is a lovely touch. Blogger was very slow to show up my post this morning too but got there eventually. Enjoy your Bank Holiday - raining steadily here!!

I love the torn vellum you've used on your card Sue - it gives a lovely delicate feel, just right for your beautiful lily of the valley image. The shrinkie charm and the tag tied up with the double ribbon finish the card beautifully. Thanks for the fabulous theme this month! Vicky x

Lovely theme for the month Sue and a lovely stamp you've chosen too. I never knew Lilly of the Valley was my birth month flower so you've taught me something today. Perhaps that's why I like them. We had a huge patch of them in our last garden but forgot to bring some with us when we moved. Need to rectify that I think.

Hugs
Lesley Xx
