Naughty but Nice

This is my entry for the Gothic Arch challange which this week is a fold out card. The DP is from my download collection and as usual I've no idea where I got it!. The images are a set I've been dying to use from Paper Artsy.
The DP is printed onto glossy  photo paper, and the images are stamped onto the same with black Making Memories ink pad and embossed with detail clear embossing powder. The background is stamped with swirls and flowers with a couple of stamped and embossed flower embellishments.

Just had a thought... this might not qualify as a fold out card...  oh dear..   :-)

It's a Man Thing!

The Cubby Hole swap for April is to make two cards for men..  here's my two.. late as usual. mind you the last two swaps I didn't make at all... started, never finished so hooray for  the April swap!

For the top card I used darkroon door bicycle stamp and qoute stamped with distress inks, tea die. The label was swooshed with antique linen and tea die.  The bicycle embelishment is a flattened, cuttle bug style, bottle top  filled with glossy accents which was sprinkeled with cosmic shimmer powder , bronze and yellow, whilst it was still tacky I popped in the bike charm.

The bottom card is made from a combination of K&co  and Crafty Individuals papers and images. I'll be taking them to the Cubby Hole tomorrow.

and here's the one that got away... tee hee. This one is staying in the bottom of my box!

I will publish the swaps when I get them

Art Journal...

This is the first page ,well second actually of my first art journal. after it was painted  etc I was at a loss what to do with it so it got left alone. Then a couple of Saturdays ago I attended the second  art journal workshop at the Cubby Hole with Sarah Anderson. The workshop was all about techniques for adding colour. This page was my wax resist page.  I drew flowers in purple, yellow and black in crayon and put colour over the top... I hated it!!! . I can't draw for toffee, thats why I LOVE stamping so this page was left to lanquish ... again!

Today Ive had a new bed in my " making room "( nooo not for me to rest on, although at  times that seems like a good idea,) but  for my guests. My "making room" is also my spare room. You can imagine I had quite a bit of tidying and sorting to do to take out the old bed    ( which was absolutely covered in craft stuff) to make room for the new bed.  whilst I was moving things around I came accross a big flower stamp and the idea for  the above came to mind!

I have not covered the crayon flowers completely, if you look close you can just see them peeping from behind the black flowers and also through the black ink... I quite like that. I wanted to be reminded  of why the page ended up the way it did. The journalling, is it one L or two? ( well a few words) was computer generated. It says ,where there's a will there's a way.

For Avril

This is for Desi to give to Avril who has had a very sad time recently. The image was reqested by Desi ( I made a card for her with it last year) I've deliberately kept it simple and elegant. It isn't difficult to always achieve an elegant  result with this image from Elusive Images, Peacock Lady A4 themeplate.

I stamped two images one in  black for the base, one in Versamark which was embossed with Cosmic Shimmer, artic black aurora. The dress is painted with Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent water colour paint,  Summer Grass and Persion Blue it was then decoupaged with one layer. The skin is coloured with promark skin tones. The backing paper is from the Graphicus Guild paper packs. I've been swooshing again! with blue and green from Big and Juicy Happy Birthday pad around the image.

I've just checked  Artyliscious Decadent Brocade CD, the backing paper pattern is on it, but unfortunatley it doesn't apper in this colour way... sad or what, I've used my only sheet!  I might have missed it on the Cd ... so let me know if you think  it is on the CD. Ta!

Inky Bird

This is as a result of "playing" with paints/inks and things. Actually it's what was left on the baby wipes so I smooshed  it onto water colour card then had a go with the template  with  black ink. It might end up in my art journal ..

Not sure about this card, my sister might get it or she might not! lol

For Anne... maybe :-)

Not sure how to proceed with this... I'm hoping to make it into a card for my sister, she loves gardening and wildlife.
The background was brayered with the green end of Big and Juicy, Happy Birthday ink pad.  It's not showing up all that well but is delightfully... misty....The image stamps  are by Artemio coloured with Brunzeel Colour Express felt tips, these produced the effect I wanted after trial and error with various other colouring  mediums.

Get Funky Challange..... April Showers

This is my take on the challange over at Get Funky. Its a bit tongue in cheek but I hope it fits the bill!
Every thing apart from the computer generated sentiment and  the paper lace is from Funky Hand Papercraft Factory, Dreams Come True. Ooh I forgot there's also a bit of Glamour Dust . I wish I'd printed the digi image out twice so that I could decoupage  a couple of the flowers. The images are  individual  digis that have been resized and placed in position... I could never repeat it and get the size right, so I didn't!   :-)  Nearly forgot, I used Copics to colour in the images.

Butterfly

It's not scanned well...I'll take a photo tomorrow when the lights better, not sure it will be an improvement tho! The two layers of the wings, the top one being on acetate .. don't show up at all.
********
The butterfly was stamped using Encore Ultimate Metallic.. four colours called Enchanted Evening.  the bottom layer stamped onto white card that had been swooshed  ( don't know what else to call it  :-) . ) with the bluey green end of Blending Blox shades of green and with the lighter end of shades of mauve, then embossed with clear detail embossing powder. The top layer was stamped & embossed in the same way but onto clear acetate. the Cuttlebug embossing flower plate was swooshed (that word again) with  the colour, thistle,  from Colour Box pigment ink cat's eye Q.

Shaun's 16th

This is for my grandson Shaun, who will be 16 yrs on Wed 7th.
More info re: papers etc. later.
******
Next day... Easter Monday.
First of all hope you all enjoyed the Easter break

As promised the low down on the make up if the card!
The papers are from Craft House Allsorts collection, mounted onto black card stock. I did a little bit of doodling on the black circle. The number 16 is from Diamomd Card Craft Eazi-Alpahbet & Number Tenplates, cut out in black card & covered with paper from the Allsorts collection. I  used Dimension Fourth alphabet stamps for the name, stamped onto clear shrink plastic( wished I'd had a big enough piece of black !)  using a  Gold ink pad .......  then after several attempts of trying to make it black! I finally opted for colouring in theshrinky with  black  Copic! I made the mistake of colouring in the name after it was shrunk... cos I thought it would be ok white but it didn't look quite right. I coloured the letters in with Sakura metallic pen. If  I'd got enough time to buy black shrink I would redo it!!!
Cheers
