Less is More Challenge

Added 16.02.2011
Photograph taken in the sunshine this morning
yes sunshine!

Ooops! I deleted the original image from Inlinkz by mistake,
wanted to change it not delete it.
Sorry if this causes any confusion.

Week two's challenge is only to use one layer... .ie. stamp directly onto the card... scary!!
I was worried this would turn out boring.. lots of people have used some wonderful shading, I  had a go with a tree stamp ... well actually I tried it several times to no avail  :(

Then changed my mind and went with this flower.. Impression Obsession Victorian Flower 2 stamped using Versacolor 302 Velveteen then embossed with clear embossing powder.
Not sure it fits the bill :)..

the black dots etc .. must be on my scanner!!... going to clean it now!
tc Sue xx

I will take a photograph tomorrow  and replace the scanned image.

It's really elegant how this stamp gives an impression of a vase with the swirl of the stems. You have used it well although sadly, scanned cards lose some of their vibrancy compared to photographed ones. I'm sure this card looks terrific in the flesh so to speak!
Thanks for joining us and we hope to see you again next week!

What a gorgeous stamp lovely colours, isn't it awful with scanners, I have an awful mess on mine with stuff I haven't let dry first, I suppose I had better clean mine too. :)

I never like my cards scanned they just look to flat
That's a stunning stamp, your card is lovely
One layer cards, don't have to be boring, the trick is the placement to add interest...as in stamping off the page, to one side, plenty of white space so your eye is drawn to the detail
Thanks so much for participating, much appreciated

This card certainly does fit the bill and that stamp is beautiful and one I've not seen before. I know what you mean about scanner glass though - where do all the spots and specks come from - probably glitter!!
