A pretty card for the Dezinaworld "hues of blue" challenge. I enjoyed making this uncomplicated card in a colour I don't normally choose... no idea why not ! See Junes, Dezinaworld logo on my side bar pop across to see lovley artwork.
The butterflies are a digi download from Dezinaworld printed, once onto photo paper and once onto printable acetate then cut out and decoupaged with the acetate on top. In the hopes it gives the effect of fluttery wings :). I printed the DP twice (can't remember where this lovely paper came from) and decoupaged the flowers.
Close up of flowers and wings.

This is gorgeous Suzi. I love the colours and fluttery winged butterflies are my favourite embellishment. These are beautiful.
Thanks very much for the award Suzi, I really appreciate it. I'll post it on my blog next time I do a post, probably at the weekend unless I get a bit of unexpected spare time, Lol!

Wow Suzi, this is stunning.
There is so much gorgeous detail and I just adore your butterflies.
Thank you for your kind comment.
To transfer onto fabric, there are many ways, this method uses gesso. Paint gesso onto fabric and lay on the top a photo printed onto ordinary printer paper.
When dry soak in water and gently peel off the top paper layer. It is not perfect when I do it, but I like that imperfection.
Let me know how you get on.

Really lovely card and the paper chosen is beautiful - odd how we tend not to use certain colours and then when we do the results are worth moving out of the comfort zone. Challenges are good for this sort of thing too.
This is soooooo gorgeous!
This is gorgeous Suzi and I particularly like what you did with June's lovely butterflies.
Strangely enough I used the same one on my card for the challenge!

Ooops, not the same butterfly - must put my glasses on!!!

Hi Suzi, this is gorgeous. I love the colour I've always liked blues. The butterfly is beautiful and a great backing paper. Lovely, lovely card. Hugs x ChrisB
Thank you for the comments on my blue button doll! I just love your blue card - amazing - and I wondered how you did the butterflies!!! They look really effective! I don't normally use a lot of blue either but isn't it great to work with!
Suzi this is a stunning card. the blues in this are so beautiful and the way you did those butterflies is utterly gorgeous.

Fantastic colour and layers. You're not the only one who doesn't use blue much :)
You won with this one, I am not surprised...congratulations.
