Holiday Time

Good morning, lovely to see you as its Monday its time for a new challenge at Make My Monday. This week Sue would like to see:
VACATION THEMES.
I chose to keep my card Clean And Simple using free stamps from the Get Stamping Magazine called Sea Breeze.
I lightly sprayed the card the water  then also lightly brushed two shades of Gelatos across the wet patch, then blended with a brush.  I used Versafine Onyx black for the image and sentiment... viola!...finito! I would like the sentiment to say
" wish I was there"  ;o)
 Have a great week,

Mail Art

Good morning and welcome to the first MMM challenge of July 2014. It's my turn,  to choose the theme....
I would like to see your
Mail Art
I love looking at the mail art that is published in Stampington magazine, Pinterest etc.... I would love to decorate  my envelopes more often... but then again we email rather than write! .. (I love the physical act of writing) ... may be I should organise a mail art swap! :-) but not before, during or just after my new kitchen is fitted... hope fully very soon.
This is a picture heavy post...
The backing paper: Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper pad: Wallflower. I didn't want to obscure the roses so I cut around the image with a craft knife so that the postcard would slip under.
inks: DI: antique linen, Versafine: Vintage Sepia, Adirondack: sunshine yellow & watermelon.
The rose embellishment is, or rather was an earring from a set of 12 individual ones from a well known bargain fashion store.. I can't remember where the lovely little heart is from.
the cluster of tiny postcards is from Impressive Images: Essential elements 2005
This is a 6x6" envelope decorated with JOFY stamps the coloured with Whispers strokes.
How cheery to receive correspondence in an envelope like this

This one you may have seen on a previous post but I thought I'd share it again because I like it :-)
Hope you can join us at MMM this week...
Have a good week

Shabby Chic

Hello and welcome. I'm sharing with you today a commission card ordered by my neighbour, Denise for her nephews wedding on July 4th. The invitation was  shabby chic in style made by the couple so I followed their example and made a shabby chic wedding card ... but very different from the invitation.

I kept the design shabby/simple but stylish... I hope you agree :-) I pencilled in the couples initials onto the fabric heart... I would've liked to embellish the heart a little with some kind of scroll type stamp ... but decided against...  also  I must look out for some small alphabet stamps.

I've been watching the tennis... what a disappointment for Andrew Murray.... but how good is it to see new talent!
enjoy your evening
