Feminine/Romance

Good morning and welcome to the last week of Fliss's  lovely,  all things French theme at Make My Monday. I've really enjoyed this theme even though in the beginning I thought I'd struggle.. so thank you Fliss.
The lovely theme this week is
Feminine/Romance
I went for Feminine
Stamps etc.
Base DP and flowers: Prima Botanical
Background stamp: Stamp Camp
Main image: crafty Individuals CI-153
Lace corners and panel: Chocolate Baroque Lace fragments
Versafine Vintage Sepia
Staedtler Fine Liners
Tim Holtz: Tattered florals
Marianne Designs die LRO163
I went over some of  the stamped images with  pink and green  fine liners to add colour and interest.

I do hope you manage to join in ... We all have feminine, romance type stamps/ images, by adding eg. computer generated words/ phrases alluding to France or words cut from papers/ magazines etc  will make it French ;o) so go on have a go we would love to see where your imagination leads you.
Thank you for visiting and leaving  much appreciated comments I hope to come and visit you :o)

I meant to buy a poppy yesterday when I was out Christmas shopping.. I forgot! :o(  I buy one every year so this year won't be an exception.. but in a very small way  here's my  personal tribute.
Showing the dimension and layers

Tricoleur...

Good morning every one,  It's still ooh la la French over at Make My Monday and this week we would like to see the
TRICOLEUR
on your projects... in other words use the colours
red, white and blue
with a French theme
I used diamond pattern stamp from Chocolate Baroque's Royal Fleur de Lys stamp set for the main focus focus. It was stamped twice, once in blue, once in red onto white card stock the red triangles are heat embossed. I then cut out the red diamonds which were mounted onto the blue with sticky fixes,  as you can see leaving some of the blue showing.. it was then mounted onto dark blue card stock. The background is from Tim Holtz roughly inked with red and blue stamped onto white card stock that was mounted onto a red square card.
hopefully you can see the dimension.

The Paris tag is also from TH the little Fleur de Lys was embossed before being cut out and placed onto the card.
Pop across to MMM and take a look at the inspiration provided by the DT. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with... if its any thing like the last three weeks it will be amazing.
take Care

Autumn at LIM

At LIM this week Chris and Mandi would like to see projects with an Autumn theme. This was my first thought but I have got another idea which I'm working/ thinking about.... not sure I'll get there :o)

The main image is from Creative Expressions Autumn Leaves 3 coloured with Derwent Water Colour Pencils.
The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque Natures Peace
A few gems for a bit of sparkle. I stamped the image onto water colour paper which has given texture randomly coloured with four different colours then a small amount of water added to blend .. which wasn't easy  cos too much water made the colour bleed outside of the stamped lines.

I love this sentiment from Chocolate Baroque Natures Peace.

Thank you for visiting I really appreciate it :o) have a good week end

Royal Fleur de Lys

Thank goodness for Make My Monday! why do I say that?.. well apart from being a fabulous challenge sight with lovely, talented DT members and  if I wasn't a member of the DT there would be no crafting done in this place... so thank you MMM.

Continuing the French theme the challenge at MMM this week is to use
Fleur de Lys in your projects.

This gorgeous Fleur De Lys is from Chocolate Baroque  Royal Fleur De Lys set which has come in very handy this month. It was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with a brown EP  cut out and edged with a brown marker pen.
The DP is a digi download from Jodie Lee, Gypsy Chick paper freebies which I printed out twice. I used a craft knife to cut out parts of the flower design  which enabled me to insert the postcard corner. I cut out some of the flowers from the second sheet to use as embellishments.

 Other stamps used:
Air mail stamp: from Affairs of the Heart: Non Sequitur
Circle Fleur de Lys, grapes and words from Clear Choice: Travel France... another invaluable set this month.
French scipt from Impressive Images Essential Elements.
Inks used:
Versafine: Vintage sepia.
DI: Antique Linen and Tattered Rose.

Life in 2012 has continued since January to be a roller coaster of events and emotions but I'm hoping things settle down so that I can get on with some crafting and visit your blogs and say hello more often :o)
 take care

French Vintage Elegance

Good morning people, its grey and drizzly here in Crewe so thank goodness for Fliss's French theme over at Make My Monday  to transport us to a more glamorous place!!... wish full thinking ay!
this week Fliss wants to see  French Vintage
 here's mine
I decided to go for Parisian fashion and opulent elegance ... mmm.

These two elegant ladies are from Flonzcraft coloured with Spectrum Noir  and glamorised with a touch of gold Glamour Dust.
The Arc de triomphe and the ticket are from Travel France by Clear Choice edged with gold EP. I went around the edges of some of the images with a Quickie Glue Pen before adding the EP a technique I saw at HSNW show at Port Sunlight... why didn't I think of that! so much easier to achieve finer lines than with a Versafine pen. As you can see I also used it on the DP, parts of which I cut around using a craft knife. I also cut out some of the scroll designs from the DP which was an oddment and I can't remember the name of it ... sorry :o( and adhered them to the card.

The DT and our GDT Julia have some lovely inspiration pieces over at MMM. We love to see your designs it can be whatever, scrap book page, altered item, canvas the worlds your oyster. If you're struggling for French subjects you can find some fabulous items at  Dezinaworld   and Frenchkissed  some of which are freebies!!

Thank you for visiting I love that you do :o)
take care see you at yours soon
