PDCCC 63 updated

Journal pages completed... the verse on the second photo, reads

A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds.
A good deed is never lost;  he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship
and he who plants kindness, gathers love.

PDCCC63.. & Try it on Tuesday

This is my first journal page for some time and its thanks to all the people who attended Play Day at the Cubby Hole yesterday. All of them gave me inspiration in one way or another. So Thanks to, Suzanne, Nigel, Wendy, Little Sue, Chris C ,and of course Carol who owns the Cubby Hole and keeps us supplied with drinks.

One of my favourite trees is the Silver Birch so that was a natural thought for me when I saw this weeks colour challenge.
The composition was a challenge  and I think I will be repeating it on the opposite page ...may be the same, maybe slightly different...am thinking torn page :)

I have a much better photo taken when the sun came out but  PC and camera not playing!
Hopefully I'll be able to change it soon

The poem is difficult to read on the photograph,

Slowly silently now the moon
walks the night in her silver shoon:
This way,and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees.
Walter de la Mare.

I've also entered this into Try it on Tuesday Challenge which is Robbie Burns..I hope it fits in with their criteria.

Card for Desi

My friend Desi, admired a very lovely commercially produced Art Deco Christmas card I received from my sister.
Its Desi's birthday tomorrow and this is my attempt to produce something similar.
The image is from a Card Creation CD called, you'll never guess... Art Deco.
I removed the dog from the image and replaced it with a shrink plastic Happy Birthday.

The light outside isn't all that good for photography, the card is  white
