Sad time

******************
Snowdrop stamp from Elusive Images  coloured with  Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils, flower heads painted with Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent water colour paint. Flourish stamp from creative expressions, Ivy set stamped in grey Stazon as is the sentiment and little snowdrop that hasn't scanned too well. The edges have been smudged using the green and the yellow ends of the Big and Juicy,Happy Birthday pad. I used a piece of kitchen towel to smudge with and I'm quite pleased with the result.

Day Out

Joe and I had a day out in North Wales on Tuesday, the weather was warm..ish.  We had a picnic..in the car :-) by Bala lake then drove up to Lake Vernwy which is a Victorian dam and this is a picture of the Straining  Tower. We also had a memorable moment or two strolling around admiring the views in the high mountains , very peaceful, picturesque, and still some snow.. well ice actually but it looked like snow.. and NO I didn't take any piccies! :-(.
This tower from other vantage points can look magnificent and from the Lake Vernwy Hotel which is high in the hills tho whole scene is devine... no I don't have shares just an ambition to stay there ... one day.

Enchanted wood?

Just played with these stamp images by Lavinia Stamps ie: tree, fairy, doorway and mushrooms , the leaves and grass images are by Art Impressions from the Stamp Man.
My daughter loves fairies, unicorns and the moon! .Its her birthday in May & this was a bit of a practise ........ so before I make her a card that she will love, think I might have to play some more! ...any excuse.   Mind you she bought me some wonderful Tim Holtz stamps.. how good is that!

Butterfly Bliss

The butterfly stamp is from.. oh gosh I can't  remember. I appear to have thrown out the packaging,
thats the trouble when I tidy up, know where everything is (well almost)  when in a mess. It comes from the same pack as the owl.. bought it at the weekend. Carol at the Cubby Hole will know. The silk flowers have been stamped with the butterfly image... not sure its workrd all that well. The backing paper and sentiment are from Artylicious Butterfly Bliss CD.The butterfly was stamped onto another experiment with distress inks onto card which I didn't think I would be able to use so just played with the stamp... now I wished I'd embossed the butterfly.. never mind next time. I've enjoyed playing.

ps.. the flowers just look dirty don't they?  might have to change em!

Me and muddy and the morning after!

Muddy Owl!

Morning after owl!

I've been playing with distress ink pads aka Tim Holtz... Well I did what he said and ended up with MUD and a bleary eyed owl... not sure what I'm going to do with them... I was going to say all suggestion welcome... on second thoughts perhaps not!
After this dissapointment I  found some thing lovely I'd forgotten about... you guessed it .... A Cream Egg!
I'd hidden it in one of my craft drawers... you know how it is when your trying to be good... well it failed I've just been very bad!... it was yummy! I'll feel bad about it in a couple of minutes, honest!
