Captured Heart

Good morning, thank you for stopping by, lovely that you did... I appreciate all your visits and comments.

It's Monday and you know that that means it's time for the new

Make My Monday challenge which this week is:

 Valentines

I've taken my inspiration from the Less is More 4th birthday celebration challenge which is to use the colours

Pink & Grey.
Happy Birthday LIM

I used Dina Wakley heart stamps from Collaged Hearts, stamped with, Versafine: Smokey Gray and Color Box Q: Rosebud. I bought these hearts with the intention of using them in a journal!.... never happened.... one day :-). To add a bit of dimension I added  Glossy Accents to the small heart and dropped a pink heart gem into it. My Glossy accent glue is not as clear as it should be, due to the hatpin I use to stop it from clogging up!  I read about some one using silicone babies bottle teats on their glue, which sounds like a good idea but I can't find the link!  ...

I'm sure lots of you are making Valentine cards at the moment so why not  show us your creations. Pop across to MMM to see the lovely inspiration from the design team.

Have a great week..... lets hope it's not quite as cold...especially no more biting winds!

Hearts and Flowers

Hello and welcome, the challenge chosen by Joan this week at

Make My Monday

 is

 Hearts and flowers

Here's my Design Team  piece which will hopefully inspire you to join us.

We would love to see your interpretations.

.

I perused many of my flower and heart stamps deciding to use the Poppy Heart stamp by IndigoBlu, thinking it would kill two birds with one stamp, ha ha. From that initial thought came the above. My work always evolves and never ends up anything like my first thoughts!  I did cut out a couple of poppies from the poppy heart stamp! I used the quote from Chocolate Baroque's lovely Rose Stem Script  added onto a heart shape made using a Woodware punch. I also punched out another heart from red card which, can hardly be seen :-)  over stamped with a script stamp from Prima, which was also used in the background.

Pop across to the MMM challenge blog to see the lovely inspirational pieces from my fabulous teamies!

Thank you for stopping by, have a great week.

The challenge theme this week at Make My Monday is

A card for Maureen

This card is one I made for my special friend Maureen.... The images are downloads from Cemerony and or Dezinaworld. I cant remember where the Friends stamp came from. It's one of my favourites that I've had since I first started rubber stamping, may have been from QVC. the text stamp is by Stampendous, another favourite. I wanted to use blues because thats her favourite colout but some how it ended up green! but at least it has butterflies... also one of her favourite things.

 Enjoy your Tues evening

A little bit of RED

Hello and welcome. Its my  turn to host the challenge at Make My Monday I would like to see your creations in

Black and white with a dash of RED

I love this cat stamp from Katzelkraft.stamped with Versafine, onyx black coloured with Whispers strokes with an added touch of Glimmer Mist.

I can't remember which set of Christmas stamps this little bauble is from... cute though!

The second card is made with one of my favourite La Blanche stamps.

The cheery Father Christmas has been raised up on sticky fixes all jazzed up with Christmas red Stickles. Sentiment on both is from the  Penny Black: Wonder set.
I find this idea a quick and easy way to get loads of Christmas cards , or any cards, done and dusted.
 See you soon

Challenges
Christmas cards all year round: No patterened paper

Vintage Christmas.

Good morning, as I sit enjoying my breakfast the sun is streaming in through my windows......  hope it remains that way.

At  Make My Monday  this week the challenge is

VINTAGE

I decided to make a vintage Christmas card

I printed the backing papers off my computer but i can't remember where I got them. The postcards are from last years 12x12 DP... no stamping, most unusual . I love the little Christmas bells. I'm also in love with sequins at the moment. I frequently used them when I first started making cards.... I have loads!

The team at MMM would love to see your vintage creations pop across to thee challenge blog to see the lovely inspiration provided by my teamies.

I'm pleased that I'm managing to create at least once a week at the moment.... If you could see the chaos in my craft room you'd better understand that statement! I am a very messy crafter but I can hardly move around and every surface is stacked to the rafters so I am struggling to find stuff etc. It is the only room in my home which is not undergoing any alterations so consequently it has become a dumping ground for .. we'll you name it.. But its next on my list for a clear out ( well after the shed! I can hardly get in there iether but the old carpet and underlay that the fitters lifted on friday will be going to the tip today!) I think you get the picture :-).

Have a great day

Bad blogger!

Hello to you all, that is if you're still around, I hope so :))

I've been a very negligent crafter and  Blogger since I moved house. I still have lots of renovations to do but the bigger stuff, is done! hooray!

I'm hoping to get into my craft room this afternoon to try and turn it into a usable craft space once again,  not the dumping ground it has become. It was the only room not being altered in any way so consequently "stuff" just got dumped either in here or the shed! I can hardly move in here (craft room) or the shed! As to finding my crafty stash well that's another matter altogether! So fingers crossed that "normal or as near normal, services will be resumed in the very near future".

I did manage to do one or two commissioned  cards. Here's on of my favourites, made for a friends grandaughter who is at uni studying fashion and design

If you're still around thank you for your patience and loyalty . Looking forward to catching up with you all.
