Winter Birthday
The image is the waste ink from the flip side of the stencil placed onto thick cartridge paper.
Dream Weaver Tree stencil.
Various spray inks
Sixxix alterations: tiny tabs and tags
The Artistic Stamper: Birds of a Feather: bird and sentiment
Hot Off the Press: birthday sentiment
Ranger Archival Ink: coffee.
American Crafts: Twine.
The stencilled image after being sprayed... I'll be using this on something , some day! :-)
I scribbled some spots and splats to ground the bird but not sure it looks right.
I've now added some water to blend the colours... what do you think?

Great card and good that you've saved the inky background for another project. I think the inky splats look good either way.

Hi Sue, Having a long overdue blog hop tonight and glad I dropped by when this card was at the top. I saw it on FB but great to see it properly on your blog. I think it's stunning and the way you grounded your bird is perfect! I love the monotone and the effect here is exactly like sunlight filtering through winter trees. Love it!
