Primrose Day is the anniversary of the death of British statesman and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield, on 19 April 1881.[1] The primrose was his favourite flower and Queen Victoria would often send him bunches of them from Windsor and Osborne House. She sent a wreath of primroses to his funeral. On this day Disraeli's statue in Parliament Square, London is decorated with primroses, as is his grave in Hughenden, Buckinghamshire.
I then searched the Internet for a Primrose rubber stamp and found one by Hobby Art. here's the card.... which I am not too keen on..
To be honest... this is the updated version
I cut out the leaves and shaped them to add more dimension
Now I'm thinking perhaps I should've left it alone....I know you lovely people will say which you prefer but I don't have time to redo it. I'm off to see Anne tomorrow. She lives a couple of hours away in a place called Warsop near Mansfield. Nottinghamshire. We used to have a lot of fun together, travelling around etc etc
Here she is the last time we spent a few days in North Wales, in fact in the same year (2007) she was confined to a wheel chair... This photo was taken at the bottom of Mount Snowdon, North Wales. I made a srap book for her with all our escapades in glorious colour.. lol
Thank you for looking.

Am sure your sister will love your card. The scrapbook idea of happy memories sounds like a wonderful gift to give her, she looks a lovely lady. Have a great weekend, hugs Annette x
I think your card is very pretty, I'm sure your sister will love it. Have a good time together. Hugsx ChrisB
Love the flowers on this beautiful card(s). I like both versions and I imagine your sister will love it. Ah a bit of a sad story, enjoy your special time together. Shirleyx
Like Shirley, I love both versions of your card and I'm sure Anne will too. I bet she loved the scrap book you did as well. Have a lovely day together today. Unfortunately, as I only live 3/4 miles down the road I know the weather isn't very nice at the moment but I'm sure that wont spoil your pleasure at spending time together.
Hugs

Hi Suzi
Both versions are very good, depends if you are in a minimalist mood as to which you prefer. It is always tricky to know when to stop!
Either way they are very pretty. Pretty as Primroses!!
They are lovely at the moment, aren't they...so pretty in the garden too.

I think your sister will love the card for the reasons you made it.
I am lucky to have lots of primroses in my garden at present and love to see them.

P.S. know Church Warsop well as I lived in Mansfield Woodhouse and worked in Retford - small world isn't it!
Love this card Suzi. Hope you had a lovely time in Warsop with Anne. Hugs, Jenny x
Both beautiful! I too found out about primrose day as my FIL proposed to my MIL on that day. I am also Warsop born and bred, although I live in Nottingham now, but still visit frequently as my Dad lives near the Church - small world!
