MMM Colour Challenge

June and Associated Events is the theme at Make My Monday , which event starts today? ... Wimbledon of course , with strawberries and cream... you've guessed it our colour theme is
Red White/Cream and Green
This is my interpretation
The gorgeous poppy image is a stamp designed and made by Jacqueline the owner of the MMM challenge blog. The images are coloured with Derwent Inktense water colour pencils... I just love em :o). I stamped directly onto a water colour postcard with Versafine Onyx Black. All the other images are from the Pink Paislee spring jubilee set...another favourite.  I sponged  DI Shabby Shutters onto the postcard.

I've been dying to have a go with these Postcards but wasn't quite sure what to do... but I'm reasonably pleased how this turned out  :o)

The buttetrfly above has been decoupaged... the R side of the butterfly stamped onto the base card is under the main image.. if you see what I mean
is there such a thing as a red and green butterfly? lol.

There was some amazing entries in last weeks Midsummer Night/ Fairy theme... which made the task of choosing the top three very difficult. Thank you to all of you for joining in and having some fun with fairies.

I'm out for the day with three of my friends, fingers crossed the weather stays reasonable cos we're going to Barmouth North Wales about a two hour drive away... I'm the driver lol. I will be showing them some interesting places along the way and ending up at the Mawddach Estuary which we will cross via the railway/footpath bridge into the seaside town of Barmouth where no doubt it will be fish and chips on the sand dunes... yummy
here's a  couple of views courtesy of Google
Enjoy your week

woop woop! look what I won

I entered LEJdesigns Challenge Blog, Daddy Dearest/Male Projects which meant I was entered into a prize draw which was chosen by the Random Number generator thingy....... How lucky am I  :o)
here's what I won
No doubt I will be playing later :o) once I've finished commissioned work... which I'm not enjoying at all.

LEJ Designs sells handrawn digital images see them here

Here's a card I made for my sister's  B/D which is today. It's a design you've seen before but this time it's purple and with slight alterations. Purple is  Eileen's favourite colour..... she loves it! the card that is as well as the colour lol.
It's raining here in Crewe... now there's a surprise!!
Enjoy your day

I've just read about a new Challenge Blog ... Addicted to Stamps
 'MAKE YOUR MARK' CHALLENGE #1
I've decided to enter this card, hope it fits the bill. I used  Marvy and Whispers Strokes  pens added directly to the stamp and spritzed with water stamped onto water colour paper.

Midsummer Night's Dream - Dreams and Fairies

Good morning from sunny Crewe oh yes we have sun! hope you do to. Our weather is so diverse and as unpredictable as my mojo  :o))  imagine waking up every day knowing its going to be hot, hot hot.... yea imagine lol

We have a lovely challenge at MMM chosen by Jacqueline ...
Midsummer Night's Dream - Dreams & Fairies
how lovely is that, here's mine and don't forget you have a chance of becoming a guest designer for a month.
This is my Titania, queen of the fairies enjoying a quiet moment with her friends the butterflies. Actually its not mine at all its from a 12x12double sided paper from Prima, which apart from the sentiment, stars and the lace is all that I used for this card.

Beautiful image don't you think?
I cut out the wings of the Fairy and the butterflies and lifted them up, just a little. before attaching the paper to the base card I stamped some little stars  from Lavinia stamps in silver and added Glamour Dust,... ie. fairy dust :o)
I used an SU label punch for the sentiment.
Sentiment is from Lavinia Stamps
I've also sprinkled "fairy dust" and stars around the card and sentiment. I added the tiny butterfly (not on main photograph forgot to take another one :o(  ) after I'd been playing with Stampendous  Shabby white embossing enamel and punched out the butterfly with an Xcut punch, don't try this at home! my punch is now unusable cos I can't get the paper out and the cutting edges are stuck!

I cut out one of the butterflies from the paper which after being blinged was mounted onto a Joy Crafts butterfly cutting and embossing die. I lied earlier didn't I? saying I only used the gorgeous 12x12 paper.

I await in great anticipation  to see what you do with this lovely challenge. Pop across to MMM and see the amazing inspiration from the DT and our GDT this month Tara .
 Take care, enjoy the sun

Fathers Day/ Masculine Card at MMM

Hello every one, how are you all today? well and happy I hope.
This week at MMM Jacqueline would like you to make a
 Fathers Day / Masculine Card
My card is a quick and simple one cos I'm bogged down with family and friends stuff... you know how it is.
hope you like it...
I was struggling with this theme (mojo void!)  I thought of my son  and this card will be for his 13yr old to give to his dad... well if he likes it lol. The Star bit is appropriate because Paul (my son) as well as being a fantastic Dad to three children, is also a singer :))

The star stamp is a Craft Stamper freebie coloured with Copics and blinged with Glamour Dust.

The greeting ( two separate stamps) you're a star is a magazine freebie and the Dad ... don't know where I got that, its on a plate of relationship stamps, was stamped onto a separate piece of card cut out  and put in place over  Stampotiques Weasel placard . The whole image was adhered to the square card with sticky fixes.
Oops forgot to say Weasel is coloured with Copics
Looking forward to seeing your Fathers Day cards, after tomorrow I'll have more time,  so see you then :o)
take care

Week 52 at MMM

A new month  means a new challenge theme at Make My Monday,  Jacqueline... the MMM creator  and our lovely leader has chosen this months theme
 June and Associated Events
and to start the month off Jacqueline would like to see some
A Birthday card with PEARLS
Pearls are the birthstone for June.
Products/Method
Crafty Individuals C-2371 as main image. Stamped onto fabric with
Adirondack Watermelon. I cut the fabric to size before stamping, then frayed the edges before adhering to mount board.

SU  Very Vintage Rollagraph stamped (or do I mean rolled!? ) down the R side of the card in Watermelon.

La Blanche small flowery scroll stamped in Adirondack, Espresso around edges of the base card.
The greeting also stamped onto fabric and frayed before being adhered to card then fixed in place.  Silk flower added (I have way to many! decided I should try and use some em! ) and a little butterfly also added from stash.

I'm away from home, staying with my sister so this is scheduled for Monday morning and will be back to update the post later this evening.
Enjoy the day

MMM, Pink, green and white

Good morning!, what fabulous weather ! Its quite some time since its been warm enough to sit out late at night enjoying the night sky but on  Saturday I sat star gazing with a slurp of red wine :o) tracking a satellite when a shooting star streaked across the sky...magic!
Its Monday so time for a new challenge at Make My Monday
and still following the FLORAL theme as your main image
we would like to see the colours, white, pink and green.

I used a Stampendous cling stamp no. CRR112. I directly applied colour to the stamp using Whispers Strokes, spritzed with water and stamped onto water colour paper that had also had a light spritz of water.   I dragged some of the colour to fill in the image with a damp brush. I also added a much lighter pink here and there. I wanted to achieve a light water colour effect.  I stamped in the same way a second time and cut out the flowers. The cut flowers where shaped then a tiny amount of Glamour Dust added in an hap hazard way.
The water colour paper had been torn and edged in the lighter colour pink then mounted onto a second piece of water colour card treated in the same way. I added  some text in a couple of places which is a stamp from Pinkpaislee Spring Jubilee set. ... I love this set it may one of the best stamp sets I bought when at Port Sunlight! :o)

This shows the shaped, layered blooms.

This shows the layers of water colour paper

I stamped a third time and cut out one of the smaller blooms coloured the same way, added Diamond Glaze and sprinkled in some Glamour Dust. The GD obliterated the detail in the flower so this was added once the DG was dry. The sentiment tag is from Stamping all day

You can just see a small amount of text in the bottom right.. I forgot to take a photo :o(
This is the last week of my choices and I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I've enjoyed seeing all your lovely work...  its been very hard to choose the top three!
Enjoy your day

My daughters birthday

It's Leesia's  ( known as Leesh)  birthday on Mon 21st May. here's her card
Leesh prefers the LIM type card and I usually do something with, fairies, shoes, or the moon, her favourite things.. so this is very different but I hope she likes it.
The butterfly is from Chocolate Baroque patchwork Butterfly set. I used the same colours as is shown on the graphics that comes with the set...just as well it did me mojos on holiday!. I used Whispers Strokes pens and a water colour brush.

you can see the wonderful colours on this photo.

I stamped onto heat resistant acetate in black ink and heat embossed with clear EP then cut out and adhered to the direct to card image.
enjoy the rest of the W/E...
I will be having lunch with Leesh tomorrow (Sunday) she's out living it up tonight with her husband and friends. Her husband is taking her to a very posh place Monday evening!

LIM Take Three Stamps

ONE LAYER CARD
This time we have the stipulation to
USE THREE STAMPS
not four, not two... but 3!
I was determined to have another go at LIM take three stamps one layer card. I love this image from Stampendous which would lend itself to the Vintage, shabby, layered type look. I wondered how it would look as a one layer, vintage, faux layered look! What do you think?
I thought the lacy doily from Darkroom Door complimented the the lovely vintage image.
Bye for now

MMM Wk 49

Good morning! well I was up at silly o clock on this, I'd like to say beautiful May morning, but I can't cos it's not!
For this weeks challenge at MMM
 follow the  FLORAL theme
but add some
   MUSIC to your flowers.
Any flower any colour just so long there is some music included.
Pop along to MMM to be inspired  by the lovely work from the DT and join us, we'd love to see you

here's mine
The music image is from a lovely set by Pinkpaislee that I bought at HSNW on Saturday... bumped into some lovely friends and ex colleagues...great to see you folks, hope to see you again soon.
I stamped the music onto white card that had been sprayed with Glimmer Mist, Garden Fairy, Auburn and Turquoise Blue.

You can just make out the Auburn on this photograph.

I then used the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch to make the flowers from the same card. The "dancing " music notes are from See-D's set.
I layered some of the flowers, added glitter glue and Liquid Pearl drops for the centres.

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado

Enjoy your Monday, have a great week.

MMM week 48 Floral Lily of the Valley/ white flower

Today marks the beginning of a new monthly challenge at Make My Monday,
the overriding theme for May is FLORAL
Lily of the Valley is the birth flower for May so we would like to see some white flowers in your project. If you have a Lily of the Valley stamp that would be fantastic to see. I chose these themes and  struggled to come up with a Lily of the valley! so don't despair as long as the flower is white that's fine. There are some wonderful examples over on the MMM challenge site so pop along and be inspired
Lily of The Valley or White Flowers
The flower stamp, not sure if it is Lily of the Valley ;o)  is by Local King Rubber called Chicks stamped onto torn vellum with Archival Brilliance in Pearlescent Lime. I coloured the flowers with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen and finished them off with Glamour Dust. I layered the image onto another piece of torn pearlized vellum. I anchored the vellum onto the green card at the back. The green card was embossed with a floral embossing folder with the Cuttlebug.

I also used the flower stamp to make a shrinky  and coloured it in the same way as the main image... no glitter though :o)
The sentiment was stamped with a darker green Brilliance to coordinate with the dark green embossed card.
The green card was then adhered to a white centre fold card once I'd added the ribbon
I hope you enjoy this months Floral themes as much as we all enjoyed Cazro's men and boys theme last month.. I can't wait to see what delights you come with.
take care, see you soon

TIME for Make My Monday

Good morning from sunny Crewe... did I say sunny... YES!
better make the most of it.

Its Monday so time for a new challenge at MMM
still in the monthly style of  Men/Boys  and the theme is
TIME

The large Scroll and clock stamp are from Tattered Angels Time Traveller set. The sentiment is from Paper Artsy all stamped in Versafine Sepia
. I had so many ideas for this weeks challenge but when I sat down to to start I just couldn't get my ideas to work! :o(

I went over the stamped image with a VersaMarker watermark pen in an haphazard way then sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer EP, Olympic Gold Lustre.
I  like the subtle shimmer effect.

The background was stamped with Viva decor gorgeous scroll stamp in Versafine for a water colour effect. Hope you can see it. I ran the sepia Ink around the edges and lightly embossed in the Olympic Gold EP.

lets finish Caz's men/Boy theme with a flurry of TIME pieces .. scuse the pun! lol.
Have a great Monday. If you're in the UK make the most of the "dry" day today...
Hope its sunny where you are .
 take care
